The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis The Palm Dubai

Over the weekend, I flew from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Dubai, UAE where I had a 20 hour layover before flying on to London. What to do when you have one night to check out Dubai? There are so many options.

I had been invited to come as a guest to check out The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis The Palm, and after discovering there was a Nobu nearby on the property– the decision was clear. I would spend my only night in Dubai exiting Atlantis.

Inspired by the legendary Lost City of Atlantis the Lost Chambers is an aquarium with over 65,000 marine animals among it’s 21 different exhibits.

The attraction is fun for guests of all ages, and there are Marine Educators who can provide guests with interesting facts about some of the fascinating sea creatures on display.

If you want a more laid back approach there are chic cushions to kick back and relax on and watch the underwater action.

There are red bellied piranhas from the Amazon on display as well as huge Queensland grouper which can grow up to 400 KG and live for 40 years. The jellyfish and stingrays were my favorites to watch.

There is a Jellyfish culture where they raise their own Jellyfish right at Atlantis

There are also Behind the Scenes tours at The Lost Chambers where you can help feed the marine animals.

The Lost Chambers Aquarium is located in Atlantis the Palm, Dubai and open daily from 10 am-10 pm.
