Meet the Judges of the 2012 My Life’s A Trip Vacation Photo Contest: Misho Baranovic Edition

Editor’s Note: This post is part of series of short interviews to let blog readers get to better know the international judges of the 2012 My Life’s a Trip Vacation Photo Contest. Misho Baranovic is based in Melbourne, Australia and the seasons are reversed Down Under, so “summer” is all relative but he can handle that and still agreed to be judge. – Jen

What did you do over the summer, Misho? Any travels?

Last summer I went on holiday with my girlfriend and her family to the resort town of Noosa in Queensland, Australia.  We stayed in a beautiful house right on one of the Noosa canals.  It was an amazing week of fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing and just plain relaxing.  We also had an incredible fish and chip shop just down the road that we frequented on a nightly basis.

What do you think makes a good travel photograph?

A good travel photograph should be honest and communicate the experience that the traveller was having right at that time.  Most importantly, it should make you want to pack your bags and jump on the first plane to the destination.
